I expect to build upon a naturally evolving sound.
We rehearse on Fridays and Sundays, and have upcoming shows.
No drugs.
Rending Sinew is seeking an auxiliary percussionist.
We consist of a drummer, a bassist, a keyboardist/soundscape artist and a vocalist/guitarist. We are seeking an auxiliary percussionist to help bolster our sound.
We have twelve completed songs, and additional material as well. Shows are being planned for this summer and fall, and later recording of an album.
You will be using congas, timbales, resonant oil drums, saw blades, wrought-iron scrap metal and assorted items such as bottles, goat hooves, metal drumsticks and knives. I’m looking to incorporate Haitian and Cuban polyrhythms into the music to emphasize and augment the beats with the drummer as needed for each song, helping to forge a unique, creative sound. I can teach you these rhythms.
The percussive element of the band is a strong component, and we are looking for someone who will not just accompany the drummer, but build up a sense of dynamic and aggression.
Influences: Swans, Damaged/My War/Slip It In-era Black Flag, Neurosis, Tchkung!, Tad, Brothers of the Sonic Cloth, Big Black, Birthday Party, Pigface, Einsturzende Neubauten, early Tool, Laibach, Throbbing Gristle, Savage Republic, Prong, F-Space, Leadbelly, Killing Joke, Saint Vitus, SPK, Godflesh, Jesu, Jarboe, Head of David and many others. I expect to build upon a naturally evolving sound.
We rehearse on Fridays and Sundays.
No drugs.

Meshing.
New players! Rehearsing with new members Karl and Brian Snyder. They are not related, which makes it even cooler. Previous material will soon work its way in. I am looking forward to further collaborating and composing with them, and expanding the lineup. Very soon now, you’ll be able to find photos and footage in the Skin section.
